The Dharma Kids Program is not intended to be a substitute for daycare as our space and resources are more limited than those of a daycare center. We encourage parents to use this time for self-care and rejuvenation by making use of our services and/or local businesses.

Commonly Asked Questions:

Does my child need to be potty trained to attend?

*We cannot help children with potty time during their stay (flushable wipes are available for children who need extra help with potty clean up). We recommend children go potty, with parent guidance, immediately upon their arrival. If your child is not fully potty trained, you can attend the session with them and/or be onsite in our waiting area.

What health services do you offer onsite?

Dharma Health Institute offers a number of integrative therapies designed to maintain overall wellness. For parents that enroll their child in a Dharma Kids session, they will receive 10% off an integrative service that day, including External Counterpulsation (ECP), Hyperbaric Oxygen, Acupuncture, and/or one-one Yoga/Tai Chi or Qi Gong session. Sessions need to be booked in advance by emailing: info@dharmahealthinstitute.com. Indicate the day, time and service requested.

What if I am late to pick up my child?

A fee of $7 will be charged for every 15 minutes that parents are late to pick up their children.

What is required when I drop off my child?

Please bring a photo ID during check-in. This will be required upon drop off. Children will only be released to the person with the SAME ID upon pick-up. There are no exceptions. We also ask that you bring a bottle of water and snack for the child. If the child has any allergies, please label this inside his/her lunch pail, on the outside with a sticky note.

I need some a Parent time out but I am worried how my child will be without me. I have never left him/her with someone.

We understand your concern. We both have toddlers ourselves. Right outside of the studio area, we have a waiting area. The children can somewhat see you and you can pop in your head while you take a time out for yourself. If you are needed, you are right there. We also have area downstairs that is available. Bring work, close your eyes, enjoy the ocean air, while your child engages in play-based activities.
